How it works

1

Search your location

Type an address, postcode, city, or place name. The map jumps straight to that location so you can start drawing immediately.

2

Click to draw your route

Click anywhere on the map to add waypoints. Each click extends the route and snaps it to roads suited for cycling.

3

Check distance & time

Total distance and estimated ride time update after every click. Adjust your average speed to get a more accurate estimate.

4

Export as GPX

Once your route is ready, click Export GPX to download a .gpx file compatible with Garmin, Wahoo, Komoot, Strava, and most GPS devices.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Each segment is routed using Valhalla with its cycling profile, which prefers dedicated cycle paths, quiet streets, and roads suitable for bikes.

You can import it into Garmin Connect, Wahoo, Komoot, Strava, RideWithGPS, Google Maps, or any app that accepts GPX files. Most GPS cycling computers also accept GPX routes directly.

No. The route is drawn and stored entirely in your browser. Nothing is saved to a server and nothing leaves your device until you choose to export the GPX file.

Estimated time = total route distance ÷ your average speed. The default speed is 26 km/h, but you can change it to match your own pace. The estimate does not account for elevation, wind, or stops.

Yes. Use the Undo button to remove the last waypoint and recalculate, or Clear to start fresh. You cannot drag existing waypoints, but you can undo back to any point and re-draw from there.

The tool supports up to 20 waypoints per route. Very long routes may take a moment to calculate since each routing request is sent to the Valhalla public routing API.
