How it works

1

Search your location

Type an address, postcode, city, or place name. The map jumps straight to that location so you can start planning your run immediately.

2

Click to draw your route

Click anywhere on the map to add waypoints. Each click extends the route and snaps it to footpaths and roads suited for running.

3

Set your pace and check stats

Enter your average pace in min/km. Distance and estimated run time update after every click. The elevation profile shows total climb and descent.

4

Export GPX or share image

Click Export GPX to download a file for Garmin, Strava, or any GPS app. Click Share Image to download a PNG with your route map and stats - great for sharing on social media or messaging friends.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Each segment is routed using Valhalla with its pedestrian profile, which prefers footpaths, parks, pavements, and roads that are safe and suitable for running.

You can import it into Garmin Connect, Strava, Komoot, Apple Fitness, Google Maps, or any app that accepts GPX files. Most GPS running watches also accept GPX routes directly.

When you click Share Image, the tool renders a PNG containing a map of your route with start and end markers, plus a stats panel showing distance, estimated run time, and elevation gain/loss. The image is generated locally in your browser - nothing is sent to a server.

Estimated time = total distance × your average pace in min/km. The default pace is 6:00 min/km. You can type any value between 3 and 15 min/km. The estimate does not account for elevation, terrain, or stops.

No. The route is drawn and stored entirely in your browser. Nothing is saved to a server and nothing leaves your device until you export the GPX file or download the share image.

Yes. Use the Undo button to remove the last waypoint and recalculate, or Clear to start fresh. You can undo back to any point and re-draw from there.
